‘Putting’ the fun in fundraisingNovember 20, 2018
The pristine course and stunning backdrop of Black Mountain played host to Sansara’s first Charity Classic this year, and we were lucky enough to get a front row seat for all the fun. There are few that have not heard of the world class golf course just outside Hua Hin. What was once pineapple groves is now an incredible 27 hole golf course that has the accolade of being in Golf Digest’s Top 100 Golf Courses outside USA.
The event was over 2 days with 92 players flooding in from nearby Hua Hin and Bangkokians trying to escape the pollution. The event raised money for 2 wonderful charities:
The Beaumont Foundation
They believe there is a fundamental need in Thailand for quality education to be made available at all levels of society and are working hard to build schools to create education opportunities for people that would otherwise never get that chance. Lighthouse Club in Bangkok
A Thailand chapter of The Lighthouse Club founded in the U.K. more than 50 years ago. The Club raises money for various charities such as schooling for the children of construction workers. For more details please visit: http://www.lighthousebangkok.com
The main sponsor of the event - Sansara may be a new name to you, it’s a development on Black Mountain which offers a full service lifestyle living with apartments starting at just 4 Million baht, each of their properties includes 2 free green fees at Black Mountain every week. The event was made possible thanks to the support of all the sponsors that gave so generously: Black Mountain Golf Club, BuilderSmart PCL, Thai Gypsum PCL, Marriott Hua Hin, O’Malleys, Beca, RCC, D&W Asia, Kasikorn Bank, Fujitsu, Urban Living, S&P Restaurants, Rockwool, UAI, D’ablo and Forth.
A big congratulations to the winners and everyone who took part in the event.
